I don't see one for Mckenzie. For Indigo Unit, see 722A. Don

We have a couple goals this spring season..

First we bought a Canon GL2 camcorder just for spring bear this year...

Going to ATTEMPT to make a "Hunting Spring Bear with Packgoats" movie..

Even if its a lousy movie it will be fun trying..

Second is I have identified a ridge and saddle that bears are using heavily...Going to try a ambush and take one with the recurve...

Can't wait to get started...

You are right..LOL They don't care for it much when he is whole like that...But quartered and bagged is a different story...Then he is just another load...

They aint bait!! They are hunting companions that don't complain when you overload them...

West blues a good tag to shoot a monster bear. Wenaha has some big ones. I personally am going to put in for minam/imnaha for scouting reasons. I think if you want to shoot a bear oregon is probably one of the top states to do so. I saw 9 bears last spring and i only had to walk 10 ft from my pickup to see them. I think oregon should allow more spring bear tags personally. We have bears running out our ears. And all we have left is Piles of elk calves every where. Shoot skin eat

i think most of the real big bears in oregon are in the cascades and coast range. north east oregon is open country hunting, so your odds of seeing a larger bear is increased. but the trophy bears, are on the west side. if i was looking for a 23" skull, i would be hunting the cascades.

Our group will be heading over to Snake River unit. It's a good time over there. The guys who don't get tags still end up hanging out with those that do. Good chance to get away and see some amazing country.
