Default Trooper Encounter - Sat 1/14, Hwy 26???

On the way into town Saturday, I saw a couple of fellas in camo having a roadside meeting with the State Trooper who drives the dark blue truck (presumably Game Enforcement). North side of Hwy 26, about a mile west of Dersham road.

I'm simply curious to know if there was an issue with where they were hunting (too close to the hwy?), the fact they were parked on the shoulder, or other??? Couldn't tell if there were any "awards" being handed out or not.

If you're out there and don't mind sharing, could you let us know what happened? Or send a PM? I hunt very close to there frequently, and that's the first time I'd seen the blue truck....

(And for the record - NO, I don't rubber-neck at accidents or road-side stops...although I do chuckle at those learning their first lesson about the folly of speeding through North Plains' jurisdiction along 26 )

I've been SO tempted to make up a story...........But that would be wrong!

What!....I thought it was standard practice for hunter/fisher men to make up stories and that for us to do so...wasn't considered wrong at all...just the way it is!.........

Too bad no one knows the story of this roadside chat.

What the heck, Wreckless - bring it on!

Whatever you can come up with is in all likelihood gonna be better than the actual story, which it appears we'll never know anyway. The number of views certainly suggests there's *some* interest in knowing what occurred.

My hunch is that the fella(s) in question either (a) are not too proud about what happened and aren't inclined to divulge and/or (b) are not members of this assumedly law-abiding community.

Oh well. Just another unsolved mystery...

Well, okay, I'll take a shot at it. It was sunshinefisherman with a case of "Rump Rot AKA The Chub Rub." ( Believe me when I tell you I am NOT making fun!! ) and the cop stopped because of deeply felt sympathy pains. Don
