Coyote and Chuckers!
Great weekend with Maverick, Brian, and AndyCoho. Mark got most of the birds, but I did manage a nice double. Andy and Brian took home another half dozen as well. Neatest thing was I saw my first (in Oregon) herd of about a dozen bighorn sheep as well, but didnt have the camera handy. They were less than 25 yards away at one point!

Re: Coyote and Chuckers!
That was definately one of the best Upland Bird hunts I have ever done. I'm still sore today! But it was well worth it, thanks for the invite.
Nice coyote Brad, I didn't see any long guns in the camper, good shootn'.

Re: Coyote and Chuckers!
Nice!
My buddy and I talked to you on your way out (red ford w/ german shorthair and black lab). We weren't as successful as your party. Hiked to the top, spent a few hours just below the rim rock, but saw no birds. Thought about moving to another spot, but one trip up the canyon was enough!
Great pictures - thanks for posting.

Re: Coyote and Chuckers!
Thanks for posting those great pictures Brad. Wendy and the girls finally got to see more than birds in a cooler. I've GOTTA start taking more photo's.
Brian and Andy got most of the shooting, sounded like a war down over the rims! I finally dropped back down after lunch, and I'm still paying for it. The up&down isn't too bad, but sidehilling through rims and scree for miles makes the paws SORE! So, when do we want to do it again....
Great company, lots of birds, pretty country, and lots closer than Succor Creek.

Re: Coyote and Chuckers!
Pretty nice looking dog, UG. Not real big, but certainly furred out nice. I love getting 'em this time of the year because they are so nice. Good looking camo too. What do you call that pattern?
Aren't those little tuxedo-wearing birds fun? That's a pretty good take, considering how many you see versus how many shots you get. (and how many shots it takes to get even one) Good job.

Re: Coyote and Chuckers!
Ain't that the truth skein, we spend $1,000 dollars on gear and they walk out there in blue jeans and carhart coat and pop one. I guess that goes with the "anything can happen when it come to yotes."
