Default Crown Molding

Anyone here do this stuff before? I am doing it for the first time (first time with REAL crown molding anyway) and have 3 issues:

1) How to go around rounded out-corners? I see how they did it on the baseboards....but that will take a lot of practice to figure out what angles they're using (only choice probably)

2) How do you end it? I'll have areas where it will need to end for a doorway, or where the roofline changes at the entry way....so how do I cap off the molding there?

3) I have an air intake vent that will mess with an inch or two of the molding at the bottom. I cant just cut it off cuz then the pitch of the molding would change. Should i just taper off the inside edge of the bottom and go "over" the top of the vent panel (wouldnt block airflow at all)? I'd hate to end the molding before it and restart it after it....that might look odd.

Thanks.

Get this book at Home Depot or Lowes...well worth the $20 and easy to understand. You'll become a crown molding expert and end up changing careers (maybe). Crown Molding /Compound Miter Book

get a porter cable dual compound saw, it has all your crown angles marked on the fence.
