Re: Not many more days (pic)
Nice pic with you and your daughter GRB! Congratulations on a fine tom!
I took this gobbler last spring with my recurve after taking one earlier with the smoothbore.

Sliver;
You and I may need to hook-up sometime. I too am known to flick a small lodgepole stick from time to time; and I live just up the hill.
Looking forward to them big birds soon too :grin:

Re: Not many more days (pic)
Fish Hawg, that looks like Whitetail Heaven!
Ras, I lived up near Zigzag for 14 years. My preference in wood arrows is Douglas fir, they look so sweet when stained! I use pine shafts also.
Here's a pic of my son Cody's first turkey from last spring. I was none too proud! :smile:
I took this big tom last spring with my shotgun two weeks before I bagged the big one with my bow.

Re: Not many more days (pic)
Sliverpicker, Yes there are alot of whitetail. I jumped several deer when I was scouting for Mr. Tom. Last year he had several bucks in his field. One was a 5x5 (ten pointer :grin: )....Ross

No elk there Fish Hawg? It looks just prime for them. I wonder how often he gets herds through his place. Never been turkey hunting :depressed: , but would love to go sometime...

Re: Not many more days (pic)
Every once in a while. His Neighbor almost always has them in his field. He has more trouble with the Moose; They just walk through his electric barb wire fence :shocked: . like it's not even there.

Re: Not many more days (pic)
I'm eagerly awaiting that phone call GRB!! I might have to break in the new bow this year on a gobbler. I enjoy taking a break from the fish once in a while to give a feathered freind some heartache.
:grin:
