Default Thanks Archer's Afield!

I've done my share of bashing on Archer's Afield, but I'll also happily post a good experience!!

Stupid me, I lost a couple of screws and a mount base for my 2-piece Hoyt quiver. I went in there, expecting to pay a few bucks for the pieces. Quickly, the Hoyt factory was called, and they would be shipping out the parts I lost immediately, free of charge!! And, while I was waiting, they popped one of my worn-out Sims string silencers and replaced it, almost before I could ask!!

Thank you!

I had a problem with Leroy setting up my new legacy over a year ago. First the rest was not installed correct he did not align it and set it up way to high (hard to explain it was an inch above on the flat spot above the grip). Then they gave me the wrong arrows; not the correct spine. I called back a week later and asked if he could help me get it to shoot. (Paper tune it, laser align the rest with the arrow). He said I can’t help you; we dont do that stuff here. You would think when you drop down $900 on a new bow he would set you up correct and try to help .

So I took my business to Archery World. Joe got me the right arrows, laser aligned the rest with the arrow, and lowered the rest were it should go, level with the top of the grip. Then we paper tuned the bow and only charged me for the laser align . I will continue to take my business to Archery World .....Ross

I used to go there and ran into absolutely no help at all! Asked a guy that worked there (cant remeber his name now)for some help and it wasn't his problem. That after I just dropped 400 bones on the counter to get my poblem fixed. Found out that day that they sell parts and care less about your solutions to problems. Now I go to Kutch Archery. Kenny Payne does a good job with my bow whenI screw it up and helps to explain the problem. Not to mention he has a killer 33-D course out back!!!!

ROSS;
NO you don't have to be a member to shoot the 3-D. He lives between Yamhill and Mcminville. The archery shop is at his house and the range is behind it. YOu have to pay to shoot but I dont remember how much its a good time though. I think there are 30 or more targets but I could be off. Kenny is good with a bow also. I will try and find the number and e-mail you with it or you can call information for Kutch Archery

About 8 years ago I was in the market for a new bow and stopped into archers afield to see what they had. I had a question about one of their offerings, but the two people behind the counter were too interested in a sweet young thing to give me any time, I eventually left vowing never to return.

Well, due to necessity, I did return, and on that return, got great service. In the dozen or so times I have been back, I could not have received better help than they gave me.

We all have our good days and bad days. If I would have written them off because of one bad experience, I would have been the one getting the short end of the stick.

I will give you your two cents because you are completely correct. Everyone does have the bad days. My problem with them was that every time I went there was a bad day for them. The last time I left I thought if they can't appreciate someone driving 70 miles to come do business with them I would find someone who would. I didn't go there expecting to be vaulted to the front of the line or be treated like a king I had real expectations and didn't think I asked to much of them for the amount of time and money I spent there.
Now they have to worry about me know more (as if they did anyway) because I have found a shop I like to goto and they help with what I need.
Just MY .02

The phone number for Kutch Archery is 503 852-7537. Great people and more helpful than any archery shop I've ever seen. Just got back from buying two new bows and couldn't have asked for a better place to deal with.

I tried all last winter to buy my son a bow from Pacific Crest in Salem but they could never get a left hand one in. I took Kenny one week and he has my son set up perfect! I decided I had to get a new bow while I was there. :grin:

Kutch Archery has 40 targets on there 3D course which can be shot for $10 or 15 for $4 or 25 targets for $7. In the summer on Tuesday evenings they have a $1 DISCOUNT on all three options. Best sevice of all the shops I have been to.
