I need help hunting the beulah unit for elk

I was wondering if anyone could give me any info on where to scout for elk in the west beulah unit. I planning on starting to scout out of Unity. Any information would be apperciated. Thanks in advance.

Call the local biologist and then hit the maps. I use the national geographic topo map software to get good spot to scout. Look for North slopes and roadless areas. The research out of Starkey suggests that Elk stay at least 1/2 mile from roads. Good luck.

another good place to get a map of the area you would like to scout is from the forest service, there

let's try this again the fire maps they use with the forest service show all your roads open or closed. they also show roadless areas and topo lines. along with township range and sections i have used them alot
