Default 168B Whitehorse Deer - Anyone hunted it?

Not a hard tag to get but a long drive for me at least. I have have 0 points (drew Steens this last year - waste of time another story) but a friend has 4 so together we have a good shot at the tag. Good success and a good shot at a nice 4X from what I can tell. Any stories?

Thanks

There are deer down there that you would think are migrants from Sonora (Mexico) Expect to come home empty handed much more often than not, but spend some time in the "bucky" country and your time / effort will eventually pay-off. I would call it not overrun with deer, but definitely big 'ol sagebrush buck potential

Have fun,

Is the Whitehorse unit compareable to the Trout Crk unit..... Not tag availability but deer quality. I have 3 pref pts and dont want to wait 4 more year to draw the Trout crk unit.

Hunted Whitehorse for antelope with my uncle 3-4 yrs ago. Came across 12 bucks feeding in an old field everyone a 3 pt or better 5 were 30" or better. I will probably never see a sight like that in my life again. A couple of them were real monsters. They were the only bucks we saw on the trip but did see some other deer. Trout ck. has a better buck population in my opinion I hunted it two years ago and saw plenty of bucks and a couple real nice ones. The problem there was a couple of ranchers claimed to own the whole unit and were running people out of public ground. A person definetley needs to know whose ground he or she is standing on,
