RMEF Convention

Did any of you guys make it down to convention in Reno this last weekend? If you didn't, you didn't miss much. This was the worst vendor show I've ever been to. You could have put that whole show into one of the three buildings at the Expo center. I never heard the total numbers for attendance, but it wasn't much. It's really to bad because this show used to be nothing but hunting. It's now become an arts and craft show with what seemed like about half of the vendors selling art of some kind or another. Neet stuff, but it wasn't what I wanted to see. :depressed:

I was there Thursday and Friday...didn't go through the show, but it was fairly large...you're right, though...pretty pedestrian.
They told me between 12,000 and 15,000, but expect more next year in Portland...

It was nice not being crowded through the aisles, but lotsa stuff for the women to spend time at(don't ask me how I know), wife and her sister had fun also. Seemed like fewer(hunting/shooting)vendors than in years past.
Next year Portland, kinda got mixed feelings, closer to home, but no excuse to go to Reno.

Boy thats depressing!

I went to the show last time it was in Portland, couldn't have enjoyed it more. I've really been looking forward to the return engagement next year. I have gotten a bit tired of the NW sportsman show because I felt it and the International show became so redundant.
