Default Grandson's first rifle

My Grandson just turned 6 and I had the pleasure of buying him his first 22 single shot rifle for his birthday. Him and I went out shooting today and He did real well at following instructions on safe gun handling. Now I hope that no one gets on my case for buying him a rifle seeing that he is only 6 years old and all, The rifle is kept at my place in a LOCKED gun safe. The only time he will get to use it is with me or his Dad.
It is made by keystone arms and is called a Crickett, It takes a key to unlock the gun so the bolt can be closed and the rifle fired.
I didn't get the pleasure of takeing him fishing his first time. So this was a very special day for old Grand dad to say the least.
Thanks for takeing the time to read an old mans ramblings.

Thanks for taking the time to teach our young youth how to shoot safely. Not enough of them get that chance today's world. Hmmm... maybe a sage rat hunt in the making.

Good job Grandpa! No flack from me for buying your 6 year old Grandson a .22. That's what my dad did, and that kind of heritage is what helps them grow up into responsible hunbters and gun owners.

Way to go, grandpa!

Sure beats just sittin' around watching hunting shows on TV, doesn't it! Hope the two of you have many, many good times in the field.

Way To Go Grandpa. I just purchased my son's first gun, a Rossi .22/410 Youth Combo. Problem is I can't tell if he likes it or not? He will be 16 weeks old in three days
