Default Not even close to Jewell......

Actually the below pic was taken today about 2 miles north of the Hillsboro city limits. 40 head of elk near the intersection of Cornelius Pass and Germantown Roads at 3:30 today.

I had "el-cheapo" digital camera with me, so pic quality stinks. You should have seen the traffic jam caused by these beautiful Roosevelts!

Cool, I'm headed that way in about 20 minutes for a beer at the Rock Creek Tavern. I'll have to see if their still there.

I go home that way every night.
I see that herd once or twice a month during the spring months.
Gets you excited for sure.......

I saw that herd on my way to, and way home from work today. You can tell when they are close to the road by all of the parked cars.
I took a picture of them last year when some of them were withing 20 yards of the house near the edge of that field. They sure seem to know when it is safe.

My girlfriend lives out that way and sometimes has the herd in her front lawn. I've never seen em there but she tells me there weren't any bulls present. Did you see any at your last spotting?
