The mount job is in limbo right now. I messed up the cape pretty bad when I cleaned him, and it wasnt usable. The taxidermist can order a cape for it but I cant stomach the thought of having someone elses cape on the head.

So I'm getting a horn mount done for now, and this season I'm on the lookout for one big Roosevelt so I can get a good cape.

August isnt that far away

Ok, here we go. These are Sliverpicker's contributions. Let's see if I got it right.

This first pic is of a bull Sliverpicker's hunting partner (Daren) killed on Sept 9, 2001.

This is a pic of the Bull Sliverpicker took 2 days later, on Sept. 11, 2001. They were on cloud 9 until they found out we'd gone to war.

This is the pick of the Bull Sliverpicker took exactly one year later on Sept. 11, 2002.

Lastly, this was taken by another friend in 2003.

Hope I got it right...

BTW, very nice critters!

The first and last pics are the same fella, my hunting partner Darin. 2001 was our first year of hunting together, but we became emotionally bonded that season due to the events of that day 9-11-01. We've hunted together for three years now, and have become the best of friends.

I've enjoyed seeing everybodies pics on here, glad to see so many folks packing a camera with them.

Here is a photo of last weekends adventure. Before it was over there were three grown men in a tree and 2 on the ground laughing (me and Rick) The picture does not do this thing justice--absolutely monsterous!

You know, I do not know how much it weighed but my rancher buddy said that he figured it was close to #2000. That one was the biggest of the 4 that we shot. There are plenty more over there if somebody wants a great off season hunt--would recommend primate weapons or rifles with open sights. Was an absolute blast though. PM me if anyone wants some info.
