preference points

I looked up my buddies preference points and he has quite a few elk points, I was told by another buddy that archery points only count for archery hunts and rifle for rifle hunts, but when I looked up on the ODFW page it says nothing about this. I could look it up in the synopsis but I thought of this when I was sitting here on Ifish so I thought I would ask. Any help is much appreciatted, thanks in advance. [img]graemlins/1zhelp.gif[/img]

Points are points we used rifle and archery applied for points and both worked together for the amount total that we had.

deer preference points are good for any deer hunt
elk points are good for any elk hunt.

weapon choice doesn't matter.

I wonder where these stories come from

Thanks for the replys, I always understood the synops the same way! When he told me what he thought it didnt make much sense to me, but I just wanted to make sure.
