Weekend Carnage

Hunted some private property this weekend and man was it nice not to have to draw chips or wait in line all freaking night just for a chance to get out to hunt. I had Jack aka LuckyOne join me sat morning and we put the hammer on dem birds. Its not offten I get the chance to pass on ducks because geese or aproaching in the distance We were on the X for dem geese all shots were 10 to 15 yard shots it was a remarkable morning. we had the 5 geese and most of the ducks buy 830am. There wasnt any mallards flying around mostly gadwalls and some wigeon and we did get buzzed buy some teal while watching the geese coming in. I end up with 4 geese and three ducks. Jack had 1 goose and 5 or 6 ducks. Jack Im glad you were able to make it. Till the next time! :grin:


Then today I was buy myself and finaly saw some green heads ended up with one goose and 5 ducks and picked up buy 930am. It was a great weekdend for me lotta birds and the pup just nailed that crippled greenhead today

Sure nice to get a couple more hours of sleep in the morning isn't it??

Larry & I hit the CR and picked up 3 geese as well saturday.
Boy did it rain!! Hunted out of the boat blind and was glad to have a roof over us! Also got a mix bag of divers & buffle.
Congrats.

PS: boated into the eastside Thur. and it was handy to have the GPS on the boat!

It wasnt sure how to grab them..... but the one today I had just busted the wing so It was funnny to watch him pounch on it a few times while it was trying to get away an then he pounced on it one more time like a cat and grab the neck and started dragging it along and never let go.... I think the neck is about three inches longer now...LOL... I havent pushed him much at all this season......But boy after that gun goes off his on that mad dash....will take some fine tuning in the off season to take off on comand etc but he is were I wanted him to be at this time of the season for only being 9 months old. He will be 10 months on the 26th. Buy next season he will be a fine tuned hunting machine
