"That's disgusting" I said, as the drool slithered out of my mouth, down my chin and into my lap.

Kinda makes you wonder how far off the refuge those boys stray during the summer.

Nice bones.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helv">is that down at the Jewell refuge?

Yes it is Jewell. And I also wondered how far off the refuge they go. Saddle mountain is not too far from it, the land surrounding the refuge is all private so even if they went off you would have to get permisison. I don't suspect the a big boy gets to be a tame 7X8 by going off the refuge often or far.

There sure are a bunch og bulls in the heard. I would say it was close to 50/50 ratio. I do think a spike hunt would do the heard good.

There was a cow in heat yesterday as well. Interesting to see this in Feb.

they dont leave the refuge trust me I have hunted all around that damn refuge and the stay up in the back side. Lots of hunters all around there and I have yet to see anything decent taken out of there. I makes you sick to see all the elk there. Wish they would let first time hunters or disabled hunters harvest some of them animals.

I have hunted that area for years, And YES they do stray off of there...........I have seen Many, Many, nice bulls Taken from Jones rd. all the way to meadows. Sure there is alot of private land at the meadows itself, but there are several killer walk in areas on private land, that have some monster bulls on them. You just have to Ask. Trust me, The oppurtunity is there.
