Default Boat blind finally finished

I finally had the roll of film developed that had my boat blind pics. Special thanks to Hunt'nfish for his help on this project.

A close up of the camo tarp/netting combo. I have added some natural grass.

This is a close up of the bow frame work. The PVC "T" acts like a hinge and allows for about 6" of height adjustment.

Stern view of the frame work. The vertical post is adjustable, 3/4" conduit with 1/2" sliding into it. It locks with hitch pins. The cross bar on the right is attached with "D" pins.

Looking at the back of the blind from the bow, with camo in the "hunting position".

Looking at the bow framework with the camo flipped up.

Looking at the front of the blind from the stern, in "hunting position"

This was a fun project. Time consuming, but fun. The tarp/netting cover is held down by the weight of a 10' piece of 1/2 PVC conduit, rolled up and attached with black zip ties. I'll add some natural grass in the feild to help it blend in more. Now that we have some water I'm putting it to use!!!

I'm sorry that this post took so long to get up, but I hope it inspires some of you!

Awesome job Dennis! I've gotta swing by and take a closer look some time. Holler next time you put it up dry at home and I'd like to look at it more closely. The PVC pipe for backdrop weight was a good touch I was thinking of sewing a pocket to slide it in but I'd have to take it off to do it. Not til the off season will that happen!

Perhaps we'll have to rendezvous at the Waterfowl Festival in Scapoose this summer and all enter the boat blind contest "Just for Kicks". Missed it last year...was camping that weekend.

Or perhaps a "Quackheads DA meeting" is in order??
Hunt'nFish

BTW: Love the DU sticker on the motor cover! Nice touch.
