Re: Question for bird hunters
How many pheasant tail feathers would you like? You come get them or pay for shipping. They are natural color.

Re: Question for bird hunters
Remind me next Oct. and I will save you some hides. How many do you want. I am in Corvallis, so it would be easy to get them to you. I did not save any from this past year other than a few tails for my wife's flower arranging. Normally I just skin the birds and throw the hide away. Don

Re: Question for bird hunters
Ask again at the BEGINNING of the season and I'm sure you'll have more than you can handle.

Re: Question for bird hunters
October would be good. Don't mean to make you feel bad but I just ate a Wood Duck and threw his feathers in the trash. All my fly tying friends had enough. Post again in the fall.

Re: Question for bird hunters
Russ,
I have some birds from yesterday that I am planning on cleaning tonight - 1 mallard drake, 2 green winged teal 1drake 1hen, 2 widgen 1drake 1hen. I also have some assorted other wings I have been saving to train my dog, I have enough & can spare a few. - Phesant, Mtn Quail, Mallard etc. If you are interested PM me & we'll figure out how to get them to you. If possible I'd like to get some Flies & fly fishing tips in the exchange.

Re: Question for bird hunters
I am getting too old to tie my own flies anymore. I have a multitude of bird feathers from jungle **** caps to Lady Amherst pheasant and some other rare bird feathers for traditional Atlantic salmon flies. (They are all over 25 years old so they are legal.) I will most likely keep some for reasons unknown but I will be more than likely let you have them. No charge. A fishing trip in the future will do just fine.
I also have a couple of Orvis split bamboo rods that I may be selling in the future. I bought them in the early sixties. Man, how time flies.
PM me if interested.
