Wood duck mount
Just got this drake back from the taxidermist. Shot it early in December. Having seen/read horror stories before I rolled the dice with Ted Will and have to say I was happy with the results. There are a couple of little detail things, but I've see a lot worse birds cost a heck of a lot more. Back in a month and a half and only $25 bucks for a student. We'll see how it keeps, but I am pleased.

That's a beauty!
BTW: I'm a 'newbie' waterfowler. What level of the addiction is this?

Re: Wood duck mount
Looks great---One of the things that's cool---you got it back quick---some taxidermists aren't so punctual.

Re: Wood duck mount
It will keep just fine, birdhunter. I've got 11 birds done by Ted and they still look great after several years. I just dropped off a drake woody on Sunday, but I have to pay his exhorbitant non-student rate of $35  Ted doesn't do the best work, but you won't find anyone else who will do it for the great prices he charges.

Re: Wood duck mount
Can any of you PM me this guys name/phone number? My son has several nice birds waiting to be mounted. The normal $200 price tag is a bit much.
Thanks!

Re: Wood duck mount
Hey birdhunter,
can I get contact info for this guy? I shot a nice mature pintail yesterday that doesn't have one feather out of place and would be a good mounting candidate.
