I have the standard Outers clay bird thrower that can be mounted on a spare tire's rim. The problem with this way of mounting is that the bolt rubs against the rim and ruins the threads. Does anyone have a trick or way that they mount theirs that is cool? I know somebody out there has a slick method that works great.....
You must take it apart a lot for transporting or is it set-up solid all the time? I drilled my bolt and put pins in it so I could break it down faster. Works good, but may not work for your application. Happy Hunting
I needed something heavy to hold mine down, so I welded some 1/8" plate to an old 10x20 steel truck wheel and bolted the thrower to the plate.
Not exactly hi-tech, but it works.

I too mounted mine to 2" sq. tubing and slipped it into my reciever hitch.
I made a few alterations to mine. I removed the thin sheetmetal wings from my thrower. They started bending and twisting after repeated use.
In order to bolt the mainframe of the thrower to the tubing, I welded on a scrap piece of 4" wide tubing to allow the bolt pattern. It is now indestructable.
My friend bolted his to a seat swivel with multiple holes and pins to allow adjustments, but it made it a little rickety (sp?)
I think it is just as easy to move yourself or your truck.
