LOL...In this canyon the only place elk can walk or lay down is either on the roads or landings...No and no..

Yes, the Middlefork Santiam...It and Quartzville creek flow into Green Peter...Above the Res on the middlefork side about 10 miles is the Middlefork Santiam Wilderness....Excellant fishing by the way...

The pics are taken across and down from Chimney peak...In the pic of the river you can see Chimney on the right...
Chimney peak would NOT be the way to access the river,unless you wanted to hike instead of fish :shocked: :shocked: :shocked:..

I figured the best way in would be either hiking up from the lake or driving in, if possible, from Upper Soda on the 2041 rd. Haven't tried it yet, so I don't what the 2041 rd is like.
