Default Duck and Goose Guide

My last duck or goose hunt was over 20 years ago. I have decided I want to hunt one or two days next fall/winter. I no longer have a dog who retrieves and gave away all my decoys years ago. So I am looking for recommedations for a guide who has all the setup and gear we will need. Anyone who is within one or two day's drive of the Willamette Valley and who you have had a good experience with. I will go to Boardman, Summer Lake, K-falls etc. I don't care as long as it is in OR. I plan to take the goose class this summer. I have a gun which is setup for steel shot.

Cochran and Smith are easily my first choice. However, you are getting in on the very last of the season and they may only be hunting the permit zone now.

By permit zone, I'm talking about the area west of the freeway where you have to have a goose identification card available only by taking a test. I'm sure it's too late to get one this season.

Don't let it slide though. Get the material and take the test. There's lots of goose hunting in the valley with a nice long season, especially for those with the permit card.
