For Sell - Cheep
Official Vehicle of the Ifish Goose Hunt
1937 Quad. Mostly runs poorly some of the time.
Used very little (see statement above)
Incredible asset in the goose field. (tow it to where you don't want the geese to land and leave it)
Contact Gun Rod Bow for a test drive (tow or push).
Skein

Re: For Sell - Cheep
I think the green water fowl hurse died.. That poor bike has seen more dead birds than most of us ever will.. Bruce did say that resurection was a possibility (if I were a winged critter, I'd be afraid, very afraid )

Re: For Sell - Cheep
Isn't that the same green machine that broke down on last year's hunt?

Re: For Sell - Cheep
Man,
Pick on a guy when he's on a road trip...sheesh.
I thought about trading her in and buying a new shiny one (like Skein's) but figured I could cut some beer cans to resurface the bearings and actually baling wire makes a pretty good piston ring...I've been recording the Red Greene Show and he's got some great tips for home engine repair.
I didn't want to loose any parts and my wife didn't want the carpet to get dirty so I laid our bed spread on the floor before I tore into the engine. With the Christmas tree gone there's plenty of room on the living room floor
This way there's hope next year the same bike will break down again, and I can help keep you guys distracted from the goose hunt long enough to raid Gooseman's lunch pail
Shoot, I think she's only about half used up

Re: For Sell - Cheep
I liked best the part where the local teenage kid on the motorcycle stopped to look it over and even HE wouldn't steal it...

Re: For Sell - Cheep
Bill,
I know, even after I left the key in it and taped a $10 bill to it  That kid was a good judge of hardware.
I picked this up from Red Greene. I'm thinking about customizing the quad with one of these.
Should help on the high gear top end.
Whatcha think?

Re: For Sell - Cheep
That's making the assumption that it runs. I think you should install one of these instead.
