Default nephews first elk (update)

well brother and his family come down to astoria for christmas and the hopes to shoot his oldest sons frist elk. well me joking around told him we would have one down by 10:30 well i was a little off he made a pefect shot and elk was down by 11:30 . hunted most the morning having one chance earlier on a cow but was just no good shot. hit a few other spots headed to one i never been in. walked around a corner and i looked at my brother he looks at me and i pointed over and said there his elk man did it seem to take a long time for him to shot . so what a heck of a christmas he is having braking in the dads new 300 ultra mag getting his first elk and his first hunting kill cant seem to get the grin of his face or his dad or mine and grampa was there to she is grandsons first elk. see what i'll be doing for the next few christmas but i cant think of a better way to spend it. try and post some pics later

Jeff, That's awesome!! Cogratulations!! We are heading over to Idaho sometime today. I have to check on the local deer herd. Having to mess around with the military this fall really messed with my hunting. Hopefully the new job will allow me some time next year. Take care!
