Great pic! - again. The pup looks a little tired though, or is it just camera-shy? :grin:

Are you hunting with field sets and layout blinds, or are you hunting a more conventional blind setup? At any rate it doesn't look as if it were any to warm out. Kudos on being out there and taking birds.

I still haven't talked my wife into laying in the mud on a cold morning, but I'm sure if she could ever see the birds work she would at least understand why I do it. Fun stuff!

Good work. My water foul season is getting close to being over. . Best year of my life. Each day was a treat. I had my 11 year old son and his best friend with me each day .. What a hoot.
I never could get those two to keep shooting after they knocked down a bird .
You remember how it was ,,, you shoot, and your so excited to see a bird fall that you set your gun down and take off running after it yelling ,, "I got one " . I saw that a bunch.
Last week end my son was trying to add the years total. He said that we had thaken 58 geese. I got my limit of 4 birds about 10 times .
The Fish and game dept, will not give out any waterfoul guide permits around my area. This pretty much leaves all private lands . All I do is drive around and watch where the birds are feeding and go ask the farmer. 98% of the time ,
Im given permission to hunt , the other 2% of the time the owners want to hunt it .
We almost never set up two days in a row in the same field,,, endless fields to choose from.
We never have blinds or pits . It is always a new situation. I find fields that have a ditch or some type of cover to set up next to.
Im a hard core waterfouler and love it.Snow wind and cold are what it is . Thanks for the pic. id. p.
