Time to take a deep breath
There are a lot a topics where we all don't agree or have the same approach to, but we all need to take a step back and realize that we ALL need to stand together or a lot of the freedoms we have will be taken away by the non hunting/fishing voters that are easily swayed by the press and the anti's. It's easy to jump on someone here and run them away, before you flame away on me or anyone, take a second to think about what you'd do if you couldn't do what you love anymore. Hunting and fishing is a way of life and no matter the method used or our backgrounds or where we live, we all need to support each other. If you run someone away from this site, we may have lost a set of eyes and ears and hands that could make a difference.
Thanks for listening. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!!

Re: Time to take a deep breath
Well let me be the first to FLAME away at someone who would dare to make such a correct statement. Keep this attitude and I'll have to stand beside you all the way. I am learning to  (bite my tongue)most of the time and let others have their say without confrontation, it ain't easy sometimes but its worth it.

Don't forget if we don't stand together even if we don't agree. We can lose the hunting and fishing we all love. I lost a form of hunting I love. I am unable to hunt in oregon with my hounds for bear and cougar. Stand United and we will never lose.

Re: Time to take a deep breath
I’m totally down with that!
Ya always hear people saying anyone can have an opionin but the second someone does. Reminds me of high school the cool kids who think alike, dress alike, walk alike, will harsh anyone who disagrees with them. High school lives on way to long.
I ain’t about being one of the cool kids. I hope no one gets dogpiled again.

Re: Time to take a deep breath
Agreed, I think it is important to express different views and opinions. We are here to share with folks that have the same interests. Some of the subjects that come up are very complex and at times emotionally driven. I think if we discuss and hash respectfully we cannot only learn a ton, but come away with respect for different thoughts and opinions and if we are lucky, some new friends. I met my first ever PETA member last night at a little get together, let me tell you, she was nuttier than Squirrel Shizzle.
I will save that for post all its own. I will say though that her and the likes of her are the reason it is critical we support the cause and stick together.

Re: Time to take a deep breath
Hey guys, we are going to have our train wrecks, but I'm sure we are still on the same track when it comes to restricting our right to hunt!
I saw the wreck coming on the picture posting, but after seeing the possesion limit thread....
I don't have a clue what is going on with the Traks thing, he said it wasn't us. I sure hope he didn't get into some kind of trouble, it sure was a nice thing he did for the young hunter on here.

Re: Time to take a deep breath
Nah... I don't think think so. I have my own brain thank you and my own way of looking at the world. I AM NOT going to support ATV hunting, road hunting, canned hunting, anti wilderness and roadless attitudes which destroy the last bastions of wildlife habitat. And I plan on letting anyone and everyone know that I don't support that kind of activity.
I WILL support the ethical fair chase pursuit of game and fish with a Leopoldian environmental philosophy.

With some people they cannot disagree without making a personal attack. With that said I totally agree with Salmo trutta.
He must be a really cool guy !
