I am going to upgrade my spread after this season, what is the best decoy on the market, one thing i cant stand is the paint coming off.

Re: duck decoys
Hehe...you say you have Carrylites now?!!
I have Flambeau Supermag Mallards.
But if I were going to replace them tomorrow, I think I'd go with Greenhead Gear...either Life Size or Magnum Mallards (or Sprig).
Those are some of the nicest looking decoys I see out there today!

Re: duck decoys
Go with G&H, if you can afford them buy Herters.

Re: duck decoys
I saw these great hot buy mallard decoys at sportsmans. I think they are those green head gear ones mentioned earlier, man those are good looking decoys! My buddy just got some of those that we used on saturday, they really look good. And They are like 20 some bucks for a dozen. They also have reasonable price pins.

Greenhead Gear are the best IMO....Ross

but spend the couple extra buck for the lifesize versus the hot buys. the hot buys aer around 30 bucks a dozen, but for just over 40 bucks a dozen you will get a lifesize deke (the hot buys are smaller) and the lifezes are sealed and the paint guaranteed not to chip off.

i just bought my first dozen last month and will be adding another dozen mallards along with 6 widgeon (if i can ever find them) and 6 teal.

Re: duck decoys
Go Greenhead Gear. I've got a dz. of the "hot buys", 1 dz. Widgeon, and 1dz. Ringnecks. They all look awesome.Cabela's has had them in stock lately. Those are the working man's answer to hand carved dekes! If you're into hand carved type dekes, get the Columbia River Decoys.

Re: duck decoys
THe Greenhead gear dekes are the way to go. Everything I've heard so far about Avery is that they are standing behind their products if you have problems. The decoys I have are holding up no worse than any other decoys I have. For 25 bucks a doz. that's a great deal! Duck-boy, I wish today was a goose day too! I think we could whack'em good. I've been meaning to ask about that floating blind also? What ever happened to it?

Re: duck decoys
My buddy just bought some Greenhead gear mallards at sportsmans and within 2 trips they looked like poop there were whole chunks of paint coming off of the drakes chests. He is planning on taking them back. I do have a doz. widgeon decoys that have held up great. Ide stay away from the hot buy mallards.
