Default Ultimate Salty Dogs Boat

There is a 47' MLB for sale on the GSA auction site. It will need electronics but.... Rod?

Not to hi-jack but I wish I was a little handier with Photoshop.

With enough of the right photos I think we could compile the ultimate Salty boat. Kind of an amalgum everyones fav hull, power, and features.

That would be funny to see

Maybe a bunch of us could get together and get it. Then we could have Rich check us out in it. We could name it THE Salty Dog.

There are actually three of them guys - but they require a $40,000 bid deposit before you can even start bidding.

GSA Boats Auction

Just another thing I can't participate in darn code of conduct

Interesting, 2 of them have "Oregon Inlet" on the stern. I think the numbers were 47201 and 47202. Anybody know why they were labeled in that way? I doubt they were both named Oregon Inlet, but maybe.

I think the info said these boats were used for design testing. I wonder how many times they have rolled!!!

So, if we got tgether and bought one, I wonder what the chances are that the CG would let us go out regardles of the bar restrictions? <grin>

Oregon Inlet is back East, Moorehead City North Carolina. I hope to fish there one day in the not too distant future... now about those boats... The one that impressed me is the Glucaster boat. You KNOW that one has seen harsh duty.

How fun would it be to fish the whole way here? You could literally troll from there to Panama (with a few choice stops for fuel,) and then all the way north! I'd want those .50's for part of the trip, though. I bet they're not included boat jewelry. -D
