[blast and cast]

how did you do? i got out there late, checked into mud lake #5 and had 0 success. after spending close to an hour busting a hole in the ice that was close to reasonable to expect birds to land in..then not seeing much except for the occasional large flocks on the way to someplace else...i bailed out after only about 2 hours of being there. it sure wasn't anything like it was two days ago.

Mossberg- Did you get in on the shoot they had on Saturday? I drew 70 so I headed to the Eastside, but my buddies were 4th pick and went to Mud 1. I think they ended with 16 or so, one was a banded pintail drake. We went to Hunt 5 for an hour or so and ended with one pintail, maybe we shoulda stayed longer, but it just didn't seem worth it. Anyway, looks like I'm not getting out until the end of the week with the weather they say we're gonna get. Sure wish I could though, I've had some of my best days when the snow was fallin'.

i was out on saturday. we drew #24 and got on Mud #5. we shot 4 limits... 10 mallards, 11 Widgeon, 4 Pintail, and 3 Teal.

Sounds like it was awesome out there. I just checked the numbers, 160 birds shot on Mud Lake that day!!! Now that's my kinda day, glad to hear somebody got in on it.

yeah...it was a good day. i hope i can squeeze at least one more shoot like that in this year. i've been lucky so far and had a few days like that this season.
