Bummed and sitting at home

Well,
I am sitting here looking at this webpage when I should be hunting. HAd a trip planned to Moses LAke to hunt Geese and ducks and had to cancel due to weather.. the good news is that the guide was really undersatnding and didn't even keep thedeposit, which we told him he should. The great news is that now I get to book with Brad and Dave.... wish I were hunting

Man, I hear ya. I've been under the weather all week and had to bow out of two hunts. Ugh.

It's snowing right now but I still may have to bundle up warm (wife's orders) and go do a little scouting. Who knows, I may be completely well by tomorrow. :grin:

Well don't be too bummed guys...while some place may be lots BETTER, others that were "o.k." may NOT be doing anything with the weather change. :whazzup:

A perfect example of this is where I went this morning. It HAD been doing o.k. for Honkers up until last Wednesday. I thought that maybe with the weather change it might be even better. However my friend, who hunts there regularly said they didn't do anything on Wednesday. [img]graemlins/1zhelp.gif[/img]

So it was little surprise when upon going out there this morning, there was NOTHING there, nothing around, and nothing happening! Geez, just a couple of miles away is a red hot duck club. My friend tells me that he's been seeing "tons" of Ducks and plenty of Geese working that club...now, nothing's there either!

So, they're somewhere, but not where they were last weekend.

Guess things are going to take a little "re-calibrating"?! So don't feel so bad if you didn't get to go out...well I know you probably do anyhow.
