Re: My first elk/with thanks to Traks44
Congrats on you first elk. You can't ask for a much better area to hunt. The East side of Oregon has some great spots.

Re: My first elk/with thanks to Traks44
Sweet!
Thanks for the pics and the story.
And Traks gets a too.
Man that looks cold.
I only remember it getting that cold here on the west side once. Back in the winter of 77-78, I was a 7 year old kid.
A whole differnt world and way of life from the west side.
I dig the extraction vehichle, you know the boys mean bussniess when they wheel up it a rig like that!

Hear, hear! I've always been an advocate of when one deletes a post, the entire thread vanishes into cyberspace.
Now I'll be wondering for at least awhile, what was in the original post that merited the "delete" action.
Oh well...... .....Merry Christmas!

Re: My first elk/with thanks to Traks44
My son Bobber_Boy was asked to delete his post regarding an elk hunt in Eastern Oregon and we honored the request. In addition we asked a moderator to remove the thread. So far we have not heard from the moderator. Nothing sinister here on Ifish just helping out a new friend.
Merry Christmas boys and girls.

Re: My first elk/with thanks to Traks44
I want to know why the post was pulled as well. There was nothing there that anyone should be offended by. A dead elk in the back of the truck is food in the freezer. I hope that there was more than that to ask that the post be deleted. Nice elk! Congrats and thanks as well to Traks44 for helping it happen.

Re: My first elk/with thanks to Traks44
I asked Bobberboy and his father to cooperate in reguards to pulling the post. I am so sorry words cannot express, but to make a long story short some people dont think it is in my best interest to be making posts anymore. I will say it again NOT ONE PERSON ON HERE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR MY DECISION IN LEAVING! There are other issues at work.
Ounce again I am terribly sorry, and I apologize for any inconvenience or heart ache I have caused anyone!
Bobberboy you did a great job and I dont regret having you up, chin up and happy hunting!
Sincerely, Jon
