Sadly, if we only required auto manufacturers to include bumper impact airbags behind all license plate frames, this tragedy could have been avoided........

Nice elk, and I hope there are no serious injuries. I don't think anyone would be in short sleeves anywhere in Montana afterdark this time of year, maybe a little earlier.

I think that EMT is sizing it up to see just which way to load it on the gurney. As an old volunteer in a rural community, we always talked about bringing in a road "victim" to the ER. :grin:

I was driving home from a fishing trip down near Tillamook and saw the aftermath of a ford fiesta taking on a HUGE cow. Everyone in the vehicle was alright but the car was done and the cow was basically laying on it's back (along the spine and the legs were sticking up straight in the air like you would see if something died in a cartoon. Nothing was around the animal to support it in this position either. It was one of the wierdest things I have ever seen. It is always bad to see things like this but what can you do? I even heard that deer are starting to not be afraid of those noise making things that mount on your car to deter them.

Warning Very Graphic Pictures of Deer Hit by plane

Here are some pics my Dad sent me of a Deer that was hit by a plane. Not sure where he got them all he said was that it wasn't local. He lives out at the Diamond point airport by Sequim and they have a deer problem there, alwas has to take a close look at the runway before landing his plane. Says thee is probably $15,000 in damage to this plane.

Looked like there was a fawn near by. She was nursing. Probably pretty dang quik. Kind of reminds me of that Harrison Ford movie raiders of the lost ark.
