Default Something new for bankies?

How many times have you wondered if you were fishing over fish? Take a peek at this item. I wonder if it would work to locate steelhead for bank fishermen?

I saw the same thing at Joe's today. I think it would be great for seeing how deep to set your line on a bobber rig for springers. Was $109 @ Joe's

Looks like another high tech gadget that will inevitably end up in a snag, or go sailing with a foul cast and a SNAP...DO'H At $119. MSRP I think I will apply the funds to gear. Cool watch size screen though

I am with fshklr. 109-119 will buy alot of terminal gear. Probably all years worth. It is a cool gadget though.

My Brother bought one, and used it once and had problems w/ it sent it back and they gave him his money back. They have a few bugs to work out. It would not send a singal back

Fish Hawg - That's the kind of info that is valuable, someone who has had real-time use. The concept is great, the idea of being able to scan specific water from the bank to determine the presence of fish or walk on and keep looking. Thanks for the response.

The replacement transducer/bobber's are only $20.00.

I know a guy that used this system on the Clearwater, and it worked relatively well. The key for him was knowing how deep the water was under his bobber. He flipped it out, let it drift, used the information to set up the bobber-stop on his "Real" bobber rod, and went to fishing. I still call my Lowrance a depth finder, not a fish finder...
