I'm in the middle of doing mine. 5/8" MDO (Medium Density Overlay) smooth on one side, or both. Look it up on the net for details. A boat dealer recommended that as that is what they use as well.
Consider diamond plate. I hope to get another year, maybe two outta mine. When I do replace it I'm leaning hard on going with diamond plate. You'll never have to change it again. :twocents:
Probably 1/8" or 3/16". It will be more spendy than plywood. Don't know how much more though. Like I said I was leaning toward this. I have been on several boats with diamond plate floor and it works great with no maintanance issues.
