Got a very pleasant surprise this evening, headed up to check
a camera that I still have posted on public land. I knew this was
a risk with rifle season going on but I was weighing risk verses
reward and Christmas hit early this year. This guy vanished
to the underground 2 days before Archery season almost 2
months to the day. I know a cougar was in this area and was
very concerned that this guy may have met his demise.

If you have watched my posts I had photos of this guy in velvet
and shedding his velvet. Late Archery is coming and I have a
plan!!!!!!!

I usually keep my HOT spots private and never show pics of my HOTTEST trails....but had to show how sensative my Bushnell Trophy 5.0 is.... even if it caught the tractor motion, they are both 100 yards away.

I pulled the last few trailcams I had out last Sunday. Sure makes me wish I had a valid bear tag. I've had bears contuniously coming into these three cameras since july, but I have yet to see one on trips into check the cameras or while I was up in there hunting. Theres a quite a few pics but heres the best of them. Last of the season until the snow starts melting in the spring.

I had to put a picture of these does on here, since they are about the only ones I had got on these cameras since July.

I seen More ATV's, then Trucks. Really starting to Hate ATV's. (unless they are Disabled hunters).

Placed My Sg550 cam, up during Elk hunting.. 1 week soak.

Few deer

Nice Buck.. Drats it was Elk season NOTE: Time Stamp.

Hunter, walks with in 2 feet of Trail cam, Cam has 3 shot burst.. Cam was head height, Painted Brn/blackish Chain& lock. Walked Right past it. With his snow tracks, Can see did not even skip a beat. Time frame was still early sunrise, low light.
I spoke to him, later on. Bumped into him, Traded a Keystone for black butte porter. Swapped stories.. As with told him, He was on trail cam.

Note the time stamp..

Hey folks, my name is Willie, just found this site last night and it seems pleasant. Love to hunt but only fish occasionally so you now where I plan to hang out the most. Great thread! Heres a nice 3 point that came through my setup back in August. Been chasing a monster around this hill for 4 years now but no luck.

The late archery hunt doesn't start for another 2 weeks up here! I put a scent dripper on the clump of willows in the background and made a mock scrape to see if it gets any reaction. Time will tell?

A lot of people use photobucket dot com to store pics and put them in posts. You can download them on ifish into the gallery and copy & paste them if you use the correct code.

I had to pull the cameras from the woods this weekend and it likely will be for the winter as there is going to be some tree thinning going on real soon. I don't want to leave them up with the workers up there.

I hope this guy survives to pass on his genes in 2010. He at least survived this past hunting season.

Boy terdog I can't believe you would hold out on us like that! Dandy buck, I think you'll be alright with the bucks still running around during your hunt, but if not I have a tag for this weekend and I'm sure we could remedy this
Once again congrats on a killer set , go get em.

This one really surprised me
. Time is wrong on this pic, I was able to figure out it is off by about 12 hours. He isn't real far form the river but he is up the hill and headed into the woods.

Here is a little bull that had just came across the river aand up the hill to this spot

Little buck

THis picture helped catch this thief last winter. He is holding my splitting maul and wrecking bar in this picture.

Another tresspasser from last winter

Have caught a couple thiefs/tresspassers with my cameras. It is unfortunate that I use my trail cams for security but that is the way it goes.
