Orcas

Anyone else see the five killer whales inside the jetty at newport on Friday? We went out to rebait our crab gear with fresh halibut at about 5:30, and were treated to an awesomesome show when we got back about 6. They were really close! One was huge, with about a 3-4'fin.

Of course all our cameras were on shore. Why take a camera to turn crab gear! Lesson learned, always have the damn camera.

Nope, just cruising in. One big boy and two cow/calf pairs. It was a couple three hours before dark, so maybe they were coming in to get the lay of the land before making a night raid on the furbags.

You should have done a favor for your ol' buddies in NORCAL and whispered in the orcas ears that there is way better hunting in Monterey Bay.

But then again the PETA people would get mad that the mean ol' Orcas are chomping on furbags.

I talked to a guy herring fishing next to me on Sunday that said they were inside of the bridge last week, but he didnt see any feeding going on.

I would love to view the show when they make a feeding run.
