Man do I miss the Southern cooking. Welcome aboard to Ifish. A lot of the folks troll for the tuna out here. We run (on a good day) up to 12 poles out back and start looking for the tuna. Other folks go out to the tuna waters and stop and just start throwing chum and the tuna will find them. Some will troll and stop when they get into the tuna and start chumming like crazy to keep them near the boat. When I lived in Florida we would go out to the middle grounds and scuba dive and spear gun the tuna, then I would go to the bottom and grab a lobster for good measure. How do you catch tuna in the Louisiana waters?

House on stilts? Like my wife's cousin's new house in Biloxi? Third family home on that same site - first lost to Camille, second to Katrina. Third is on stilts with elevator. Stubborn. Won't leave the beach.

Just returned from a visit for her 50th H.S. reunion with the first get together at the new Marine and Seafood Industry museum which is also effectively on stilts.

But, no, just wondering about where in LA as some of her family came from Opelousas which is on the edge of Cajun country.
