Default Vermillion Bay Oil Rig Explosion

CNN just reported an explosion on an Oil rig in the Gulf 80 miles south of Vermillion Bay. One person mission 12 of the 13 crew in the water. USCG in route

Hmmm...interesting that this happened AGAIN! So glad all are safe (as reported by CNN). I'm always suspicious when it comes to the events involving gas/oil companies.

Sure seems like these would be terrorist targets, given the disaster this country has experienced the last 6 months.

Lots of conflicting info on this one. First I heard 2,500 feet of water and rig wasn't in production at the time. Now 240 feet of water and in production. Lets hope the blow out preventer works this time

Right Did you even bother to read the article in your link? If there was a spill it would be obvious by now. The small sheen first reported was most likely from a fuel tank on the rig and not the well.
