Micro Jigs

[First Bite]

If you're fishing for summer steelhead in low clear water this time of the year try scaling down the size of the jigs you're using. With warmer water temperatures and lots of pressure on the water smaller offerings might make the difference between getting bit or getting skunked.

Our micro jigs are made for situations like this. I like to use the smallest cork posible to float the jig. Adding a couple bb size split shot about 2 feet above the jig will help get it down quicker. Concentrate on the flowing water at the head of a drift.
