Ifish encourages familiarity in selling/buying
Ifish offers a unique opportunity to buy and sell things from people in the community, whom are familiar with one another through contributions to the boards. It is our goal to remain a community where we can trust one another. We do not want to become an "ebay". It's nice to know and trust one another.
People are registering on ifish, only to take advantage of our classified board.
In an effort to encourage contributions and familiarity with your seller/buyer, and to decrease the risk of potentially questionable sales, we at ifish have set the program to disallow posting on the class ad boards, unless you have 20 "contributing" posts.
This rule was made by the members, for the members.
If you do not have 20 posts on ifish, you will not be able to post a new sale. You may, however, reply to, and buy on ifish.
If we find that your posts on ifish, (in order to reach 20) are frivolous, or if it is plain to us that you are just posting, "I agree" "Uh huh" or posting pictures in order to reach the limit, you will be disabled from ifish without question.
Links to ebay allowed, but no auctions on ifish! You must set an asking price, or your ad will be deleted.
Courtesy Please!
Please do not post on an ad, unless you are interested in the item. We do not allow opinions on price, or posts that are irrelavant to the sale of the item. Please refrain from adding comments, stating you can get the item somewhere at a lower cost, or offering something you have for sale in someone else's thread.... feel free to post your item in your own thread.
If you are the seller, please give a full description, asking price and a picture or two of the item, if you have them. If you do not know the value of an item, do some reseach before offering your item for sale without an asking price. It will save the seller and offerer frustration making an offer you are not willing to accept.
If you feel someone has stepped into your thread, please feel free to contact a mod with the alert feature and request our help to delete the unwanted posts.
Pictures are encouraged in your ads. You can use the “Gallery” section (top of page under the Lamiglas ad) to store pictures if you do not have your own web space. To learn how to upload a picture
Ifish does not allow double posting, or pointers in other forums.
Please do not post items for sale in both forums. Keep items in their proper forum. This helps keep things organized and is why we have two forums.
Feel free to “bump” your ad if it falls off the first page. Do this by posting to it and adding other info, or just "to the top".
We try to prune ads after six months. That means a post will be deleted six months after the date of the last reply (if any) or the original posting date.
If you no longer want the ad to run please notify the moderators by the procedure outlined below. It is important that if the ad is no longer needed that it get deleted not only to save storage space but to allow people to easily scan for new items and items that are still available.
To delete your ad:
Please find this symbol

, to the left, and immediately below your post.
Simply click on the symbol and a text box will appear. Type in your message and click on “send”. Please use the Alert Feature if you would like your ad deleted, believe a post should be watched due to content, or just to alert the moderators for whatever reason!
We suggest a donation for continued free use of this area. This donation will insure this service remains free and ifish continues to provide the level of service our members have grown to expect. Also please remember that the moderators are volunteers and have lives outside of ifish. Sometimes it may take a day or more to get to messages.
Thank you.
