Default Uses for old boat gas?

Every year I treat the gas in my boat with "Sta-bil" or similar, but I always forget to do my kicker tanks. I currently have 3 gas tanks with year-old (or worse) gas mixed with 2-stroke oil. I tried using it, but I fouled two sets of plugs. Can I recycle it somewhere? Can I use it in my lawnmower? Should I dump it in the pond behind my house? (Just kidding on the last one!) What do you guys do?

took mine to hazard waste at the local waste management plant. I had 20 gallons from a old boat that i need disposal of. i just put it in old gas cans and dropped it off and they made sure it was disposed of properly at no fee to me.

I think that might be what my neighbor use to start his burn pile.

We live on half acre plus lots. And we always know when he lights up his burn pile.

The BOOM is our first signal and then the smoke.

Best thing to do is eliminate the source of the problem.

Keep it from getting old in the first place.

Put it to use in other motors rather than letting it sit. Dilution is the sollution. Small quantities spread amongst older engines like lawn mowers, older vehicles, stump jumpers, model T's, old fords, goes a long ways toward putting an end to waste of expensive fuels.

My burn pile. Mix it with fresh gas use in Jeep, lawn mower etc. or my burn pile.

Mix with powdered Ivory soap and you will have Napalm. Even better fire starter!

I take mine to the hazardous waste facility in Oregon City. They dispose of it free of charge.

Like Fineline said, dilution is the solution. Just dump it in your car.
Gas really doesn't go bad as quickly as most people think it does. You'd be surprised at how long it sits around before your local gas station gets it.

I'm with 1pump. Burn it in your truck/car a few gallons at a time. A 2 stroke is much more picky about fuel than an auto.

pretty sure METRO recycling wil take it for free but you have to leave the container you bring it in. It can be in a plastic milk container or anything. give them a ring.
