Who knows how to tie a stinger knot to add a hook to a Jig, so that stinger can be easly removed and installed. saw it being used this weekend but no one knew how to tie it
Bruce, tie it the same as you do your worm harness rigs (only use one hook though). clip line to 2-3" and tie a square knot right at the end. then tie a surgeons knot but leave it loose. Slip the loose surgeon knot over the jig hook and pull tite. WAA-LAA.
Here's a tip:
On old worm harness that have the main leader line frayed or worn from snags, rocks, fish teeth and such. Clip the second hook loose from the first hook and save those to be used as stingers. I always save them and never have to tie up stingers.
Email me if you want some good walleye info (my seminar notes) including diagrams on how to tie up harnesses and stingers. Email addy in my profile.
Hunt'nFish
Cut line to length of desired stinger length, ~3-4".
Then tie an Arbor knot like shown below and leave it loose w/ a loop.
Slip loop of arbor knot over shank of jig adn pull tight.
wow that looks tastey hunt'nfish! i need to rig me up somthing like that!
