River city offers casting lessons, great people who will be patient and help you work out the kinks.

Also check out the several flyfishing clubs in the area who have spey casting clinics throughout the year. I did a cool class with the Hazels over on the Deschutes. All day and I learned a ton and broke several bad habits early. Welcome to the dark side!

My top choices would be Brian Chou, Steve Buckner or Tim Rajeff. You should be able to find their information on the Federation of Fly Fishers site.

Brian Chou is a good choice. Not only can he teach but the man knows the right line choices to.

This is Steve Buckner and again he is one of the best instructors that I have had the privilege to work with. He also helped me catch my first steelhead on the spey many moons ago.

Also if you are interested in working with Brian Chou, send me a PM.

Steve Buckner is the only way to go. He taught me. He has more patients that Jesus himself. I would have thrown me in the river but he kept with me until I was shooting line like a pro.
