Went to a coastal river this morning and was able to hook up with a couple of fish. The first one came on a red jig under a bobber. I was watching where I was walking and then looked back to where the bobber should have been but it was gone. I put the hammer down and landed a nice native all of about 10-12 lbs. Then I figured I would try out my side planer. The area we were fishing was perfect. I was running a copcar hot shot and got it down to the meat of the hole and WHAM. The fish grabbed it and took off. It was airborne almost as much as it was in the water. She ended up spitting the hok back at me.
Here is a video of it, sorry for the crappy production but it was on a cell phone.
