Default New WON Tuna Tournament Record!!!!!

New Tuna Tournament Record!!!!!
Click this bar to view the full image.

Nov 5th, 2009 Cabo San Lucas, Mexico: The first day of the 10th annual W.O.N. Tuna Jackpot Tournament in Cabo, "Team Fisherman" weighed a monster; 383 lbs Yellowfin Tuna. This fish is 5 lbs off the IGFA all tackle world record for yellowfin tuna. Daniel Fisher, owner of the Yacht "Fisherman" bought his 35' Cabo Flybridge from Picante Sportfishing and Yacht Sales 2 years ago.
Cabo yachts are known as the worlds finst sportfishing yacht in their calss. The "Fisherman" has been a contender in lost of Cao Tournaments, but todays catch will go down in the History Books. This is the 5th Yellowfin Tuna over 300 lbs caught in the Cabo waters in the last 2 weeks. Besides being the Marlin Capitol of the world, our reputation for giant tuna is soon to be unmatched. Thehere is a world record out there and will probably be caught on a Cabo Yacht.

What a epic grande Vacona!!!

Those 300+lb vacona's are something special!!!

Too bad Mike wasnt behind the helm... Running tournaments aint so bad either as well as running several pvt sportfishers

Wish I could have made it down for this event!

Looks like our own.. Striper26 Richard won a Seeker/Avet combo plus 400 cash during the casting contest.. This is the second rod Team Eat Me Lures has won in casting contests in the last 2 yrs!

Wow what a hog. I've seen a 340 hit the deck and they're truly something special. It's hard to describe until you see them up close. Damn that gets the blood boiling.

That is a TOAD!!! Too bad it happened the first day of the WON tourney, had to take some of the wind out of everyone's sails knowing THAT fish was already on the dock. Then again, maybe the feeling will be, "let's go get it's big brother!" Awesome fish no matter what........

Singing "La Cucaracha" yet mike?? I gotta call and rent a slip, will stay in the main port at Cabo San Lucas so that we can reach either the Pacifico (the body of water, not the beer ) to the Gardo banks.... It would sure be nice to have some giant tuners still running amuck....

Hey Bud, you guys keeping the boat in the water, or launching daily? Keep you day trip paperwork handy and filled out, I hear that the Federales have been doing some on the water stops. Alan was stopped a couple months ago on the water, quick and easy but still....

My guess is, Vaca = Cow, or 200#+ YFT.

Vacona = BIG Cow, 300#+ YFT......
