Default "Jesus loves you"

Yes, original title I know. But I have a question. First, however, I need to explain why I'm asking such a question.

So lately, I've been feeling really connected with God, and I'm glad. And
I’ve noticed that I have been telling people that Jesus loves them, which is not a bad thing. Now my question, can I say it too much? Like, I don’t say it sarcastically or rub it in that I’m a Christian, but when I see a friend, regardless of whether or not I know their religion, I either shake their hand, or give them some sort of greeting, and casually remind them Jesus loves them. Soooo, can I say it too much, or not? I don’t want to seem like I’m rubbing it in.

Thanks for you opinion,

Dan

PS. If you notice my signature, it says "Jesus is my savior" in Greek.

I don't see it as a problem as long as your greeting is genuine. By that I mean that it doesn't come off as a casual greeting(ie "see ya later" or "how are you"-when you don't mean either).

its good your spreading the word of jesus around. but i think there is a certain point where it can go to far. and i think you will know when you hit it. but really, its not a bad thing to say. your a good christian, trying to spread it around. but there is always a point where you can say it to much. and it just doesnt mean the same thing as when you once said it. but i think tour probably a ways away from that point

Yeah, thats basically my question. I say it, and the majority of the people i say it to, say it back. But, yes, i'm worried i'm going to hit that point, and people will get tired of it. But, I just can't keep the joy bottled up!

Then don't. I won't post it here, but do a youtube search for Penn Jillette, "A Gift of a Bible." Keep in mind that Jillette is an atheist. If we truly believe what we believe, the only people we shouldn't tell about our faith are the people we hate. Be genuine, as letsfish said, and don't try to act like people's personal Holy Spirit. Sometimes people's reactions are surprising, in a good way.

Yeah haha about today... I was reading my Bible in the hallway during lunch at my school. As the bell rang, I got up, and introduced myself to someone, with a mature hand shake, and asked them if they knew about Jesus. He told me to... a.. well.... "F" off. Not the best reaction, but i was sincere, and so i was not fazed.

And thanks everyone for their advice, keep it coming!

Dan.

Hey, not everyone Jesus ran into or tried to help was receptive. And also remember, He didn't just go and spread His message where He was comfortable and safe. Maybe, just maybe the person that gave you the F off today will be asking you about Jesus tomorrow. My wife and I used to be embarrased about praying in public, meals, etc. Now we don't think a thing about it. Keep spreading the message and be polite when you do and don't judge people by their response. Great things will come in time! Keep marching brother.:throb : You're not singing to the chior.

Make sure your life reflects the words you say.
If a man speaks one way and lives another, people will see the man as a hypocrit.
Non christians always expect the highest standards from christians and will look for and pick out even the smallest of faults and use them against christians. The hardest of hearts come from people who were believers in the past and fallen or backed away because of some thing that happened in the past that they now use as a reason for non belief and can have the most bitter attitudes.
