Please join us the evening of December 5th from 6 to 9 for the Christmas for Kids party!
Here is the Ifish 2004 gallery! For all that don't know, ifish.net members get together before Christmas, eat lots of pizza, and collects toys and monetary donations for Emanuel Children's Hospital Fund. This is probably ifish's most special and gratifying function. It brings me to tears, every year. (And not cuz I ate too much pizza, either!) It will be will be held at Pietro's Pizza in Milwaukie. I talked to Sally about what they really need. Baby toys, things to do while IN bed, such as those fuzzy posters, paint by number, legos, games, cards, dolls and stuffed toys. Click here for the list of gifts you should be shopping for! By the way, I absolutely adore the bear that I'm holding. If anyone finds one like it in a store, buy it and I'll buy it from you!!!! I NEED that bear for my own Christmas!) Like last year, we will be gathering unwrapped Christmas presents for the Emanuel Foundation office, for children at the hospital there. Pete has volunteered to head up Transportation, again! We a truck donated by my brother David who works for Bullet Freight. Gary Cheney is from Bullet Freight also and is a very nice guy who has been donating his time to drive for the function. He takes time out of his free time to do this for the kids each year! Thank you, Gary!! Thank you all from Bullet Freight: Doug Braim, Gary Cheney, and David Logsdon. I would LOVE to have a coordinator head for other things, such as desk manager, where you fill out name tags upon entry. (This is a great job because you get to meet and greet all ifishers! If we had four of them, doing shifts, it would be awesome! That way, one half hour of meeting and greeting, and the rest, eating pizza and having fun! People so far interested in this job are: Hornblower Traskmilemrk11 Duckboy TillamookChinook dcgrav Len and Terry Self rowmanholiday Teresa Lemon Head fly drifter (if I missed you, let me know! I deleted some PM's and I'm afraid I lost some of you!) AnglerP is looking into a microphone system, so that we can introduce a couple people, and address the crowds. Ifish will need a team of guys to load the truck and to drive to Emanuel that night, deliver, and unload. This is a very gratifying job! You'll be glad you did it, if you do! Contact Pete, or post here if you are a willing volunteer! Pete, would you help me with this list? Transport Pete Boats02 fishisabonus Traskmilemkr11 Lostpuppy KeepFishingFun Fishboys Lemon Head Bill Monroe Springer43 (Need more!) Pietros can handle 250 people, and will probably give us most of the entire room this year. If you would like to help, or participate in any way to make this a better event, please write Jennie or Pete. If anyone else wants to be in charge of something, let us know! Please post any suggestions or questions, below. We want everyone involved. It's a real "feel good" event for all! Credit Card Donations can be called into Christine at 503.413.4141 Emanuel Hospital will be taking donations, by accepting checks made out to "Emanuel Children's Hospital Foundation" (DO NOT MAKE THEM OUT TO IFISH, PLEASE!!!) sent to: Ifish Kids Christmas Fund C/O Kristine Krause Emanuel Foundations 2800 N. Vancouver, Suite 111 Portland, OR 97227 503.413.4141 HO! HO! HO! a little early!

thanks again to all of you that are volunteering to help with this, especialy Pete and Jen for heading this up. My son has been very ill lately and been hospitalized and it tears your heart out to see all the sick kids that are so happy yet so sick. Any chance I have to help out I will gladly do it. This will make my Christmas!

My calendar is marked! I am back with the living and can't wait. I want to help deliver the toys again! I missed last year, but I plan on attending this year! I took donations from some friends in 2003 and will be hitting them up again this year. There isn't a dry eye in the bunch when we deliver the toys.

I'm thinking we have enough name tag people, anyhow, Jeff. That would be great. We could use more transport folks, for sure!
That's awesome, Fishisabonus! I can't wait to see you! Hug you! Catch up on old times! We have REALLY missed you, here! Jen

Plese put me down for loading the truck, and unloading at Emanuel. I can also deliver toys to the party for people in the McMinnville area that can't make it to the party.
My son broke his arm a few years ago and was referred to Emanuel. When he got to his room there was a Rescue Hero action figure and movie waiting for him on his bed. For along time he thought that Emanuel was the place where they gave out Rescue Heroes. This is a great cause! I hope I can help. Shakey |

Hey ho!
The list for people meeting and greeting is too long! I have these people listed: We need more transport people than name tag people. Hornblower Traskmilemrk11 Duckboy TillamookChinook dcgrav rowmanholiday Teresa Lemon Head fly drifter Who would like to do transport instead? we only need two an hour. Sign ups first will get the jobs, otherwise I'll just enjoy your company! So... Hornblower and wife are going to be just visiting. (The wrote me.) Theresa would like to be head photographer. So, the schedule right now is like this: 6-7 Traskmilemrk11 Hornblower confirmed 7-8 Duckboy TillamookChinook confirmed 8-9 dcgrav That leaves rowmanholiday Lemon Head fly drifter to do... transport? Please! If anyone wants off the greeting table and wants to do transport instead, INCLUDING the people already on the schedule, I'd love to let you off the hook. BUT NOT EVERYONE! Help! How do I do this? Jen Jen

This isn't an auction, it's a donation drive. Please bring new toys for the kids at Emanuel. They should be in their original packaging, but not gift wrapped.

The kids at Emanuel Childrens' are very ill. They can't go home for Christmas, let alone fish. That's why it's so important for us to make sure there is something for them on Christmas morning to keep their dreams and smiles glowing!

I'll be there, went shopping yesterday and got a bag of stuff for several kids....I've been picuturing these children and their conditions, then I go home and see my healthy happy spoiled son, whom I'm extremely grateful for, but it rips my heart out when I think of these less fortunate little ones.

I'm going toy shopping tomorrow. Add me in for loading and unloading crew.
How about a jar at the sign up table to chip in for pizza, etc. for the good folks from Bullet Freight who are pitching in?

It's Mrs. KeepFishingFun's birthday on monday the 5th, she wont let me take her anyplace but the christmas party.
I just got home and found a huge bag from the toy store full of neat things. Whatever I can keep myself from opening and playing with is for the kids. See you all on Monday.

Hey Jennie! I just got home from the TA meeting! Lots o' Dogs said they were going on Monday.
A few who knew they couldn't make it Monday brought toys tonight. Seelicious said he's got another delivery arranged for Monday coming in from points west. Looks like I've got a Subaru full of toys coming from Salty Dogs from all over the place!!!Maybe I should change my guess on that contest thread

Hay Jennie. I could use a couple more Ifish stickers if you could bring them with you. Thanks.
