If you check the ifish "Who's Online" option you see that Jennie is always "sneaking around"
What is she doing that requires her to sneak around?

Does it really say that?
I may have put that in there, but I can't remember! There is a function where you can replace stock words. Actually, it shows that I'm always on, but I'm not. It's just the weather station "sneaking around" Jen

Stew... I have to tell you a story, but I might as well tell you here. Don't tell anyone!
I just walked down to the river, bored. Thought I'd practice my planing, even though there isn't enough current to really work it, nor enough water to get a salmon to bite. There are salmon in there, but they are darkies. I grabbed a wrapped Kwik out of the freezer, put it in my pocket, and off I went. Well.... I went down to the lower 40 and waded about till I got to the current. I let the line out about 15 feet from the planer and let the current grab the Kwik. It was still on the top of the water, but waggling a bit... Want to hear the rest of this story?

OK, no one is listening...
So, I was wrapping the line around the stop release gadget, getting ready to put it out and float it like a kite in the current....

Anyhow, what pet cutthroat?
So, yes... I'm holding the planer in my hand and watching the kwik wiggle back and forth on the top of the water. It's not going under, just a slow wiggle waggle. All of the sudden, I was taken to the bass lakes of my dreams! A huge swirl by my lure, and it all happened so fast, I didn't know what to watch! The planer goes FLYING out of my hand. I thought Kilchis, my dog, had hit me so I turned around to tell him down and he was nowhere in site! I put two and two together and realized there was a fish and that was the swirl!!!!! Can you believe how vicious they are? MY GOSH! and then....

I reeled in and half way there, it came off. Just as well, but I think it was big!!!
Anyhow, so one more time.... I layed out the Kwikfish and let the line out.... I was wrapping the stop release, flipped the bail thingy, and locked it. I dropped it in the water and watched it work away from me. My Kwik went down, wiggly waggly into the current. It was ONE MINUTE and a fish came and just WHACKED IT! It had to be a salmon! It had to be!!! I was using a light whippy salmon rod and my tip was nearly breaking! The stop released and the fight was on! FISH ON! WHOO HOOOO!!! But, it wasn't a salmon! It wasn't a large jack chinook! It was the biggest darn cutthroat I've ever seen! Well, not the biggest, but when I released it, I held it up to my rod (under water, of course!) and measured the length against my rod butt. When I took it home, it measured 18 1/2 inches! Big, fat, cute cheeked hen cutthroat! Man, was it beautiful! I'd rather catch that anyday! But, on a Kwik? Not my first choice, but it was fun!!!! Now, that is a perfect trip down to the river! I can't fish for long periods anymore, and that was about as much action as I can handle! I giggled all the way home! Jen

And then I went back to making my favorite spaghetti sauce, complete with secret ingredient: Country Time Lemonaide!

I have heard that cutts will take stimulators this time of year like a bass plug. I'm going to try that, tonight!

Nope! I usually add lemon and a bit of sugar to all my tomato sauces... I stumbled upon this one day and just a touch is SO good in it!

That's an awesome tip! I do a lot of stuff with tomatoes and a touch of sugar (and some lemon, depending on the recipe) would be awesome.
Oh, and congrats on the fish. Wish I had a back 40 to fish in. <pout> |
