Default Weldcraft 24 ft ocean king

Thinking of buying one of these, does anyone have one or know if they are a quality ocean vessel? Thanks.

There are better boats for ocean use IMO.

Weldcrafts Cuddy King is one of them.

The Ocean King will ride fairly rough like any of the other relatively light aluminum boats on the market.

if it's an ocean boat only, I wouldn't go aluminum period. the boat you are mentioning is a lot of money for a slightly beefed up river boat, for that money there are much better boats for the purpose, my .02

I have seen a few of these out on the big pond and fished in one several times. This same model handles the chop better than any other aluminum boat ive been on. The fish holds are nice and big, not insulataed , but still big enough. The only thing I didnt like was the bow rails are useless and make it absolutely impossible to pitch iron from the bow. Rather than following the angle of the hull the rails should have gone straight up.

On a sporty day with a fairly good wind chop coming from a rear quarter that broached us a couple of times the overall ride was decent. Powered by a 300 zuk, that sucker flat out gets it when you need it!
