Alright so Timothy, Clear, Frog, Trillium, are all still closed because of snow and they said that by the beginning of June all lakes should be open. But she said timothy or frog or even trillium could possibly be open by next week with all this sunny weather coming. So she said to call back next Wednesday.

Do you just call the forestry dept up there for the info? I've been curious about trillium and frog lake also.

It will be open Memorial weekend. Lots of camp sites are booked and full up.

Are there a lot of holdovers in Timothy that make it through he winter or is it all just a stocked catch?

Plenty of holdovers. I've seen several caught in the 4-5lb class. My personal was 4 and a half caught on a two piece Rapala, rainbow trout pattern. Just have to put in your time.

Just called and they told me, timothy from the back side is open, and pine piont day use is open. Frog lake is open also. The gate to clear is open but boat launch and camp grounds still covered in snow. She didnt mention trillium.

Trillium is open down to the major parking lot. Most of the ice is gone. The boat ramp and campground are still snowed in, but you can launch what you can carry. No fish were reported by any of the families floating bait by the dam.

From what I remember its about 10-12ish miles, some bumps here and there, some flat spots here and there. It's been awhile though so maybe somebody else can chime in and give a more accurate count. Thinking of towing the boat up there myself tomorrow...but with the cost of gas

Up there on the 16th. Timothy is open from both sides and snow free, campgrounds still closed except for the Pine Point mentioned above. Back side open and snow free as far as we went. All ground is crispy dry a foot away from any remaining snow. (Read: No morels) Clear lake was snow free except for a couple of patches on the road down, passable to all but the lowest vehicles. A lot of debris laying around in the campground, but snow free and open, no handles on pumps though. Fish were being planted that day, to the tune of 15,000 according to the guy driving the truck!

Ooops.....Don't get on this board much, sorry for the late reply. When we saw the truck planting at Clear Lake I wished I had rods with me. We were up there to waste a tank of $4.00+ a gallon gas and not find one single morel! I would have liked to at least play C&R with some of the planters, I can't hardly stomach those pasty pellet-heads. Now if I could get me some of them brookies! Or hold-over bows, cutthroat. Mmmmm!
