Gilbert River launch

Does anyone know if the road into Gilbert River boat ramp is still flooded. Would like any information about road conditions. Thanks Joe

Last I heard over the weekend the road to the ramp was still under water at one point preventing access to the ramp.

Here is the Columbia County Parks and Rec phone number (503) 397-2353 I got off the internet, you could try them................

As of last night, Monday, it was still closed. When the CR is back to approx < 12.5', it will reopen.

The closure is managed by ODFW....recommend calling their Sauvie Island HQ, 621-3488, for status.

(CR is now at 13.2', and dropping , predicted to be at 12.1 this evening.)

Thank you for the info called and the lady said when it reaches about 9' will probably be much older and a bigger beard when that happens LOL

That's funny, Joe.

And you're right, the CR won't be at 9' for many weeks.

The "closure" sign was still up this evening.

Still closed though at 9am today

CR is right at 12' now and predicted for 11.5' on Saturday so the launch ought to be reopening soon.

CR is at ~11'.
